1. Introduction

This manual describes the records held by Mr Brand (Pty) Ltd and the process for requesting access under the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA), read with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

3. Information Regulator guide

5. Automatically available records

Public website pages, published directories, marketing material, public company contact information and other records expressly made available without a formal PAIA request may be accessed through the relevant website or requested from Mr Brand.

7. Making a request

• Use the current prescribed PAIA request form published by the Information Regulator.
• Identify the requested record with enough detail for it to be located.
• Explain the right the requester seeks to exercise or protect and why the record is required.
• Provide proof of identity and authority where acting for another person.
• Send the completed request to [email protected].
• Pay any prescribed request or access fee when lawfully required.

8. Grounds for refusal

Access may be refused where PAIA permits or requires refusal, including protection of another person's privacy, confidential commercial information, privileged material, safety, security or records that cannot be found after reasonable steps.

9. Remedies

A requester dissatisfied with a decision may pursue the remedies available under PAIA, including a complaint to the Information Regulator or an application to a competent court within the applicable period.
